Almafi Coast, Positano

We had an amazing time in the Almafi Coast. Getting to and from was another story, we took a bus from Salerno to Positano. The roads are so narrow and windy. Traveling in a packed bus with no air conditioning in the middle of August on a road that barley fits one car. At one point our bus and anther bus from the opposite direction were trying to pass each other. Neither one could get by so they both had to keep reversing and moving forward a little at a time. They had been trying to get by each other for 5-10 minutes when an ambulance was trying to get through... not sure how they were able to find the space. It was an experience to say the least. Once we go to Positano it was all worth it but I told Adam I would prefer to come by yacht next time :) We stayed just outside of Positano, here. We had a really hard time finding affordable accommodations because everyone in Italy was on holiday. The Italians have a big holiday in August and most of the businesses shut down. Overall we were really happy with the hotel, it had just been remodeled and we had a beautiful view from our balcony. The restaurant at the hotel was also amazing! Breakfast was included which we have come to find out the breakfast in Italy is very...different. Each morning we received a huge bowl of fresh fruit, the figs were amazing along with Nutella, rolls and crackers. They are not big on protein in the morning.

Enjoying some prosecco before dinner
After laying on the beach in Nice we wised up and rented lounge chairs.

View before dinner on our last night. We ate at La Tagliata, the views were amazing but the food was very underwhelming. But I will take that view any day!

Wish we could have done some hiking while there but the weather was so hot. I have heard amazing things about the Path of the Gods hike, but we would have had to take a long bus ride to and from and were not ready to get back in a hot bus. Hopefully next time.

So long for now Positano!
